Impact Investment Group is an impact investment firm with offices based in Melbourne and Sydney. The firm offers opportunities to wholesale investors across three asset classes including real estate, renewable energy, and venture capital. IIG targets investments that have impacts, blending financial, social, and environmental returns. The Australian institution provides capital to both mainstream and under-served markets and will consider both the investment’s prospects for a healthy return and its social and environmental intentions. The firm will seek complete exits when ending its investment. The real estate arm focuses on industrial, office, hotels, and mixed-use properties across Australia. The infrastructure arm targets agriculture and renewable energy infrastructure, focusing on both solar and wind energy assets. IIG will not invest in assets, services, or industries that they determine to have detrimental social or environmental impacts. IIG underwent a restructuring in October 2021, keeping the management of its real estate assets while transferring its investments in renewable energy infrastructure to a new business called Sentient Impact Group as its seed assets.
